Russia wants to build passenger ships in Bulgarian shipyards. This was announced at a meeting of Deputy Economy Minister Branimir Botev with the President of the Russian Federal Tourism Agency , Alexander Radkov during his working visit to Moscow, Standart daily reports.

The Russian side is interested in the ports of Bulgaria and the development of cruise, as well as the construction of passenger ships in Bulgarian shipyards , the Ministry of Economy announced.

The possibility to create a direct cruise connection between Burgas – Sochi is also examined.

In addition, Alexander Radkov was also invited to Bulgaria to participate in a gastronomic festival in September 2014, where Bulgaria will present wine and gourmet tours. Bulgaria has 266 wineries , of which about 50 are large industrial enterprises. The rest are the type of chateaus for tourist visits with a hotel and restaurant in them.

Bulgaria can develop 8 routes along its old Roman roads and towns, passing through vineyards and wineries, the Ministry of Economy announced.

In January, Bulgaria was visited by 18,113 Russian tourists, which is 14.9% more than the same month in 2013. This shows that Russian tourists visit Bulgaria is not only for its warm sea but also for its ski facilities, the minister noted at the Inturmarket tourism fair in Moscow.
