NEW BARCODE SYSTEM CALCULATES BG TAXES BY ITSELF

A newly introduced private barcode system is capable of calculating individual income taxes by itself. The new technology is already available on the website of the National Revenue Agency (NRA).

The electronic form must be downloaded to a computer and be completed offline. Once the declaration is completed, it will get a code and all information from it will enter the NRA system in seconds. A declaration with a barcode ensures an error-free completion of the form for citizens, as the tax due is calculated automatically after filling in the questions for different types of income.

Sending a declaration with a barcode also leads to a faster recovery of overpaid taxes, as there is no need to manually fill in the data from these statements and the information is directly transferred from the form in the NRA system by scanning the barcode. Therefore NRA advises people who have tax refund to submit a declaration with the new technology. The deadline for submitting annual tax returns for income tax expires on April 30.
