BULGARIA: 4,4% ANNUAL INFLATION RATE IN JANUARY 2013, COMPARED TO JANUARY 2012
The index of consumer prices in January 2013 against December 2012 is 100.4% i.e. the monthly inflation is 0.4%. The annual inflation rate in January 2013 compared to January 2012 is 4,4%. These are the early data by the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The average annual inflation for the period February 2012 – January 2013 compared to period February 2011- January 2012 is 3.1%.
In January 2013 prices of goods and services in the consumer groups have changed as it follows:
• Foodstuffs and non-alcoholic drinks – increase by 1,7%
• Alcohol and tobacco products – increase by 0,1%
• Clothing and shoes – decrease by 3.2%
• Dwellings (rents, maintenance, repairs) water, electricity, gas, other fuels – decrease by 0,7%
• Housing furnishing, appliances – decrease by 0,5%
• Healthcare – decrease by 0,1%
