BULGARIA'S ENERGY WATCHDOG SHOULD CHANGE PRICE FORMATION MODEL, ENERGY MINISTER SAID
"The price formation model at the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWR) should be entirely changed because at the moment it is highly incorrect," Bulgarian minister of economy, energy and tourism Delyan Dobrev said speaking for the morning programme of TV7.
"At the moment the calculations are made on the basis of the made expenses, without comparing the figures and ascertaining whether these expenses had really been made on market prices or simply there is just an invoice," Dobrev said further.
In his words, this concerns mostly the investments, since they are proposed and adopted by the state regulator on the grounds of an invoice.
Speaking about the scandal and protests over the high electricity bills recently Minister Dobrev commented that it was possible that there were individual cases in which the electric meters were not measures properly.
