According to data of the National Statistical Institute, the wine export in 2011 amounts to 65,636,495 litres against 60,497,586 in 2010

"Bulgaria's wine export has increased by nearly 8% in 2011 compared to the previous year," states a report of Bulgarian minister of agriculture and food Miroslav Naydenov and the inspection on the vine and wine sector last year, the press office of the government announced, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.

According to data of the National Statistical Institute, the wine export in 2011 amounts to 65,636,495 litres against 60,497,586 in 2010.

The biggest wine export is to Russia, running to 26,369,766 litres.

The total amount of the produced spirits, distillates and alcoholic drinks amounts to 89,847,071, while the import runs to 12,850,293.

Wine produced with the 2011 crops amounts to 1,049,797 hectolitres (437,315 hectolitres of white and 612,482 hectolitres of red wine).
