AHEAD OF THE 30-31 MAY 2012 COMPETITIVENESS COUNCIL BUSINESSEUROPE’S DIRECTOR GENERAL SENT A LETTER TO MR. MORTEN OSTERGAARD, CHAIR OF THE COUNCIL
Ahead of the 30-31 May 2012 Competitiveness Council BUSINESSEUROPE’s Director General Philippe de Buck sent a letter to Mr. Morten Ostergaard, Chair of the Council, Denmark’s Minister of Science, Innovation and Higher Education.
The letter highlights that alongside national structural reforms developing the Single Market and encouraging innovation are essential elements of any new EU growth strategy.
European companies say the conclusions of the Council should reflect the importance of the Single Market as a growth driver and of COSME as well as Horizon 2020 to support innovation and internationalisation of SMEs across Europe.
