CURRENCY EXCHANGE MACHINES TO REPLACE BUREAUX DE CHANGE
A draft bill for amendments to Ordinance N4 from 2003 envisages the possibility of currency exchange machines operating next to bureaux de change in the country.
The cash machines should feature a tax meter connected to the Naitonal Revenue Agency (NRA). According to the proposed legislative changes users will be able to exchange up to BGN 2, 000 a day and the new machines will be selling foreign currency only, as BNB deems the reverse operations – buying foreign currencies – extremely dangerous.
