NEW TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE INTRODUCED FOR COMPULSORY INSURANCE IN TOURISM
The amendments to the Ordinance on the Terms and Conditions for Concluding a Mandatory Insurance covering the liability of the tour operator is expanding the scale of the declared turnover, which determines the minimum levels of insurance amounts. At the same time, there is an increase in the specific required minimum of the insurance amounts, while the lowest amount level in a group travel will reach BGN 50, 000, while the lowest level of traveling by charter flights included in the tourist package will be BGN 500, 000.
The amendments are necessary because the current Ordinance provides for levels of the tour operator's turnover based on the sale rate of organised tourist trips with a total cost and charter activity. It also envisages minimum levels of insurance set for one case or a total amount for all accidents for the contract's duration.
