UBCCE HIGH LEVEL VISIT TO BRUSSELS – MEETING WITH BUSINESSEUROPE
Today, 10 October, the President of BIA, Bojidar Danev, and BIA’s Permanent Representative in front of the European Institutions in Brussels, Jean-Marie Standaert, participated in High Level Meeting organized by UBCCE in Brussels.
The aim of the Meeting, initiated by UBCCE, was to present the Organization’s goals and its interaction with representatives of EC and relevant organs in EU.
The delegation of the business union, which was founded a year ago with the participation of BIA, consecutively met with the Energy Commissioner, the Social Affairs Commissioner, and the Environment Commissioner. Also were held conversations in the EC Neighboring Countries Department and in BUSINESSEUROPE.
A week ago in Baku was held the First UBCCE Business forum on: “Foreign Direct Investment in the Black Sea and Caspian Region”, in which participated the Vice President of BIA Georgi Shivarov. The accent of the forum was put on the European and global energy issues, and particularly – the access of the countries from the region to energy resources.
