FOR A MONTH 584 COMPANIES DECLARED 350 MILLION BG LEVA UNCOLLECTED RECEIPTS FROM STATE AND MUNICIPAL STRUCTURES IN THE ON-LINE SYSTEM OF THE BULGARIAN
For a month 584 companies declared 350 million BG leva uncollected receipts from state and municipal structures in the on-line system of the Bulgarian Industrial Association.
In 99% of the cases the reason is in the late payments under the public procurements and in the remaining 1% the problems are associated with the unrecovered VAT credit, outstanding funds and other European projects.
498 companies operating in the field of construction have declared debts amounting to a total 291 million BG leva.
According to the declarations of the companies in the BIA system, the biggest debtor is the "Road Infrastructure" Agency, which owes 102 million leva to 59 companies. Then the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which owes 84 million leva to 36 companies, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (39 million leva to 172 firms), Ministry of Environment and Waters (31 million leva to 46 firms) and the Ministry of Defense (10 million leva to 16 firms). The municipalities are also huge debtor, which together owe nearly 41 million leva.
The average time of delay is 245 days, which is slightly more than 8 months.
We remind that on the 2nd of February at www.debt.bia-bg.com BIA collects requests from companies for delayed payments from state and municipal budgets, as well as companies with a majority state ownership. The registration system is free of charge, and the companies data are confidential.
