LAYING PEOPLE OFF IS NOT A PRIORITY FOR THE BULGARIAN ENTERPRISES, DESPITE THE CRISIS
- Laying people off is not a priority for the Bulgarian enterprises, despite the crisis;
- Even though the enterprises are aware of the human capital key role, they still fail to apply modern methods and approaches in its management and enhancement;
- One of five employees in Bulgaria is underqualified with regard to the company and professional standards.
These are some of the conclusions from the three surveys carried out among companies, state administration and syndicate bodies, conducted by teams from BIA, the Confederate of Independent Syndicates in Bulgaria (CISB) and Podkrepa Labour Confederation within a project implemented by BIA under Operational Programme Human Resources Development.
The research objective was to pin down the current state, problems, expectations, demands and requirements to the workforce competences, professional qualification and educational level in Bulgaria.
