Infrastructure is a basic factor for economic growth, said Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Finances Boriana Pencheva during a discussion on the National Programme for reforms in Bulgaria (2011-2015). The Programme would function under the Europe 2020 strategy. According to Boriana Pencheva the aim of the government is not just coming out of the crisis, but improving the conditions for the professional realization of young people and achieving a better business medium.

Among the goals of the reform programme are: reaching 76% of employment among the population in the 20-64 age group by 2020; investing 1.5% of GDP; achieving a 16% portion of renewable energy sources in the final consumption of energy and improving energy efficiency by 25% by 2020; reduction of the number of people living in poverty.

According to experts of the Ministry of finances the prognosis for GDP growth in Bulgaria is 3.6% for 2011; 4.1% for 2012 and 4.4% for 2013. /Source: BNR/
