PHILIPPE DE BUCK SENDS LETTER TO JOHN MONKS
BUSINESSEUROPE Director General Philippe de Buck sent a letter to John Monks on the occasion of his stepping down as General Secretary of ETUC, the European Trade Union Confederation after 8 years of leadership. Philippe de Buck wishes him all the best for the future but referring to Mr Monks' recently published 'Goodbye Brussels' article disagrees with his view that Europe is in a worst position now than it was 8 years ago. The letter recalls the formidable results European social partners achieved together through social dialogue in the past 8 years.
