BUSINESSEUROPE OFFERS TO NEGOTIATE WITH ETUC ON WORKING TIME
At the meeting of its Council of Presidents on 10 June 2011 in Budapest BUSINESSEUROPE member federations adopted a mandate to enter into negotiations with the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) on a revision of the Working Time Directive.
BUSINESSEUROPE was asked by its members to address legal problems created by European Court of Justice rulings on on-call time and sick leave.
BUSINESSEUROPE is prepared to start negotiations after the summer, depending on the response from ETUC.
