Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), operating under the Vivacom brand, plans to pay out 40.42 million leva in dividend on its 2010 earnings, or 0.14 leva a share, the company said on June 28 2011.

The telecom, which skipped dividend distribution the previous year, ended 2010 with a net profit of 113.68 million leva.

Its revenue totalled over 1.1 billion leva in the period, placing it ninth in the Kapital 100 annual ranking drawn up by business weekly Kapital.

In the first quarter of 2011, however, the telecom's sales saw a 19 per cent annual decline to 214.4 million leva, while its net profit plunged 70 per cent.
