The shareholders of Bulgarian pharmaceutical company Unipharm, part of local group Sopharma, have approved its plans to pay out 840 000 leva in dividends for 2010, or 0.14 leva a share.

The sum corresponds to 70 per cent of the company's net profit generated the previous year.

The amount is higher than the planned dividend of 0.12 leva a share proposed earlier.

Several days ago, Sopharma also decided to allocate a larger amount of its 2010 earnings for dividends, agreeing to pay 0.085 leva a share instead of the planned 0.08 leva.
