The National Revenue Agency (NRA) and the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) will work on the simplifying of the insurance declarations, reducing significantly the number of bank accounts, and codes, used for the payment of the social security contributions. The news was released after the first meeting between Biser Petkov, NSSI Head and Krassimir Stefanov, NRA Executive Director, on Wednesday.

NRA and NSSI will continue to improve the customers' service by simplifying the procedures for declaration and payment of the social security contributions. Furthermore, the agencies will analyse options for linking and synchronising the submission of both declarations - Form 1 and Form 6, which contain data needed for the social and health insurance, for the supplementary mandatory pension insurance, as well as for the taxable income and the social security contributions due on the part of self employed persons. In practice, the new approach will minimize the risk of insurance fraud and will facilitate correct businesses in submitting the information required by the NRA, stated the agency's  press release.

Stefanov and Petkov discussed the new mechanism for planning  the revenues from the contributions, which provides for the mandatory coordination of the plan figures with experts from the NRA. Henceforth, the management teams of both institutions will meet regularly, in order to exchange information and to tackle common problems, decided the Heads of NRA and NSSI.
