On 13 October, the first meeting of the focus group under the European project "Strengthening Social Dialogue for the Digital and Green Transition – GREEN-DIGI" took place at the Crystal Palace Hotel in Sofia.
Participants included representatives from state institutions (such as the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the General Labour Inspectorate, and the Institute of Public Administration), trade unions (such as CL "Podkrepa"), and employers' representatives.
The Focus group members provided their input on a specialized questionnaire addressing the "twin transition" (digital and green) in Bulgaria, as well as the current state and necessity of social dialogue in helping to navigate the key challenges and opportunities associated with this transition.
Prior to the focus group meeting, a comprehensive assessment of the situation in the partner countries—Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Hungary—was conducted, alongside a comparative analysis. Additionally, a quantitative study—a survey of employers—is scheduled to begin in early 2027 to gather data on how they are adapting to the twin transition.
