The index of industrial production in April 2026 decreased by 4.6% compared to the previous month. The data are preliminary and seasonally adjusted.
Compared to April 2025, a decline of 4.1% was registered in the calendar-adjusted index of industrial production.
Monthly changes
In April 2026 compared to March 2026, a decrease was observed in the mining and quarrying industry - by 9.4%, in the manufacturing industry - by 3.4%, and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 1.3%.
A more significant decrease in the manufacturing industry was recorded in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products - by 19.9%, and in manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment - by 16.4%.
Growth was registered in the manufacture of other transport equipment - by 12.5%, in the manufacture of wearing apparel - by 8.9%, and in the printing and reproduction of recorded media - by 8.5%.
Annual changes
On an annual basis, a decrease in industrial production, calculated from calendar-adjusted data, was observed in the mining and quarrying industry - by 33.8%, in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 13.9%, and in the manufacturing industry - by 0.1%.
In the manufacturing industry, significant drop compared to April 2025 was registered in the manufacture of leather and related products - by 32.0%, and in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment - by 25.6%.
An increase was recorded in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations - by 20.6%, and in the manufacture of electrical equipment - by 8.9%.
