SERVICES PRODUCTION INDICES - SEPTEMBER 2025
In September 2025, the total production index in Services of the business economy increased by 1.2% compared to the previous month. The data are preliminary and seasonally adjusted.
Compared to September 2024, an increase of 1.8% was registered in the calendar-adjusted index according to preliminary data.
Monthly changes
An increase, compared to the previous month, was reported in the following sectors: ‘Real estate activities’ - by 10.5%, ‘Professional, scientific and technical activities’ - by 7.0%, ‘Administrative and support service activities’ - by 3.0%, and ‘Transportation and storage’ - by 1.1%. A decrease was seen in the sectors: ‘Information and communication’ - by 3.9%, and ‘Accommodation and food service activities’ - by 0.6%.
Annual changes
On an annual basis, a decline was observed in the following sectors: ‘Real estate activities’ - by 5.1%, ‘Administrative and support service activities’ - by 4.0%, ‘Transportation and storage’ - by 2.0%, ‘Information and communication’ - by 1.6%, and ‘Professional, scientific and technical activities’ - by 0.9%. A decrease was registered only in the sector ‘Accommodation and food service activities’ - by 0.7%.
TURNOVER INDICES IN ‘RETAIL TRADE, EXCEPT MOTOR VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLES’ AT CONSTANT PRICES - OCTOBER 2025
In October 2025, the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 1.0% compeared of the previous month. The data are preliminary and seasonally adjusted.
The trade turnover rose by 7.4% compared to the same month of 2024 according to the calendar-adjusted data.
Monthly changes
In October 2025, an increase was reported in all the major groups: ‘Retail sales of non-food products (except fuel)’ - by 2.1%, ‘Retail sales of automotive fuel in specialised stores’ - by 1.5%, and ‘Retail sales of food, beverages and tobacco’ - by 0.5%.
In the group ‘Retail sales of non-food products (except fuel)’ an increase was registered in the following subgroups: ‘Retail sales of textiles, clothing, and footwear and leather goods’ - by 4.1%, ‘Retail sales of computers, peripheral units and software; telecommunications equipment’ - by 3.2%, and ‘Retail sale of audio and video equipment; hardware, paints and glass; electrical household appliances’ - by 1.6%. A decrease was noted in ‘Dispensing chemist; retail sale of medical and orthopaedic goods, cosmetic and toilet articles’ - by 1.2%.
Annual changes
In October 2025, compared to the same month of 2024, a rise of the turnover was registered in ‘Retail sales of non-food products (except fuel)’ - by 12.9%, and in ‘Retail sales of automotive fuel in specialised stores’ - by 7.8%, while in the ‘Retail sales of food, beverages and tobacco’ a decrease was reported - by 0.2%.
In the group ‘Retail sales of non-food products (except fuel)’ was observed an increase in all of the subgroups. More significant growth was registered in ‘Retail sales of textiles, clothing, and footwear and leather goods’ - by 24.0%, in ‘Retail sales of computers, peripheral units and software; telecommunications equipment’ - by 20.8%, and in ‘Retail sale of audio and video equipment; hardware, paints and glass; electrical household appliances’ - by 15.4%.
