The monthly inflation rate was 0.4%, while the annual inflation rate was 4.4%. The inflation rate is measured by the CPI, with monthly inflation referring to June 2025 compared to the previous month, and the annual inflation is for June 2025 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In June 2025, compared to the previous month, the highest increase was registered in the following groups: ‘Recreation and culture’ (2.8%), ‘Restaurants and hotels’ (1.3%), ‘Alcoholic beverages and tobacco’ (0.8%) and ‘Transport’ (0.7%). A decrease in the prices was recorded in the following groups: ‘Clothing and footwear’ (-0.6%), ‘Communications’ (-0.2%) and ‘Miscellaneous goods and services’ (-0.1%).

Consumer Price Index (CPI)

In June 2025, the monthly inflation rate was 0.4% and the annual inflation rate in June 2025, compared to June 2024, was 4.4%.

The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (June 2025 compared to December 2024) was 2.4%, and the annual average inflation rate for the period July 2024 - June 2025 compared to the period July 2023 - June 2024 was 2.9%.

Monthly inflation

In June 2025, the prices of goods and services increased in the following consumer groups:

  • ‘Recreation and culture’ - an increase of 2.8%;
  • ‘Restaurants and hotels’ - an increase of 1.3%;
  • ‘Alcoholic beverages and tobacco’ - an increase of 0.8%;
  • ‘Transport’ - an increase of 0.7%;
  • ‘Health’ - an increase of 0.4%;
  • ‘Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ - an increase of 0.3%;
  • ‘Education’ - an increase of 0.2%;
  • ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ - an increase of 0.1%.

The prices of goods and services decreased in the following consumer groups:

  • ‘Clothing and footwear’ - a decrease of 0.6%;
  • ‘Communications’ - a decrease of 0.2%;
  • ‘Miscellaneous goods and services’ - a decrease of 0.1%.

The prices of the goods and services in ‘Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house’ remained unchanged.

Accumulated inflation

The accumulated inflation, measured by CPI, for the last three years (June 2025 compared to June 2022) was 16.3% and for the last five years (June 2025 compared to June 2020) was 39.5%.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)

In June 2025, the monthly inflation rate, measured by HICP, was 0.4% and the annual inflation rate in June 2025 compared to June 2024 was 3.1%.

The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (June 2025 compared to December 2024) was 1.8%, and the annual average inflation rate for the period July 2024 - June 2025 compared to the period July 2023 - June 2024 was 2.8%.

In terms of HICP, in June 2025, the prices of goods and services increased in the following consumer groups:

  • ‘Restaurants and hotels’ - an increase of 2.7%;
  • ‘Alcoholic beverages and tobacco’ - an increase of 0.7%;
  • ‘Transport’ - an increase of 0.5%;
  • ‘Recreation and culture’ - an increase of 0.5%;
  • ‘Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels’ - an increase of 0.4%;
  • ‘Food and non-alcoholic beverages’ - an increase of 0.3%;
  • ‘Health’ - an increase of 0.3%;
  • ‘Education’ - an increase of 0.2%.

   The prices of goods and services decreased in the following consumer groups:

  • ‘Clothing and footwear’ - a decrease of 0.8%;
  • ‘Miscellaneous goods and services’ - a decrease of 0.5%;
  • ‘Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house’ - a decrease of 0.2%;
  • ‘Communications’ - a decrease of 0.2%.

Accumulated inflation

The accumulated inflation, measured by HICP, for the last three years (June 2025 compared to June 2022) was 13.9% and for the last five years (June 2025 compared to June 2020) was 33.8%.

Price Index of a Small Basket (PISB)

In June 2025, a price increase of 0.1%, measured by the Price Index of a Small Basket, was registered on a monthly basis, and since the beginning of the year, there was a price increase of 4.2%.

In June 2025, compared to the previous month, the prices of goods and services in the small basket for the 20% of households with the lowest income changed as follows:

  • ‘Services’ - an increase of 0.1%;
  • ‘Food products’ - an increase of 0.1%.

The prices of ‘Non-food products’ remained unchanged.
