On June 8, 2023, a working meeting was held in Veliko Tarnovo between Marina Grayson, Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of the United States of America in Bulgaria, Georgi Stefanov, President of the Board of the Regional Industrial Association - Veliko Tarnovo and members of the Board of the Association - Assoc. Dr. Veneta Hristova and Zhivko Vasilev.
The economic profile of the region, the potential of the enterprises operating in the area, including those in the IT sector, were discussed at the meeting. The participants in the meeting discussed opportunities for interaction in the business sphere. The impact of the COVID crisis on business, the impact of changes in supply chains, and opportunities to increase the entrepreneurial activity of young people in the region were discussed.
The meeting remained open-ended, as it was just the beginning of a new collaboration with US companies and organizations, with those in the region.
