On 4 April 2023, a seminar "Possibilities for resolving commercial disputes through mediation" was held with great interest. The organizer and host of the event was the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Industrial Association. The event was held in a hybrid manner - on-site at BIA and online through the Zoom platform.
During the seminar lecturers were Mrs Albena Penova, mediator at the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Industrial Association and Mr Tomislav Toshkov, mediator, Secretary General of the Center for the Training of Lawyers at the Supreme Bar Council.
The first panel was focused on the mediation procedure - principles, conduct, powers of the mediator, legal framework and legislative changes. The second panel was linked to the mediation in commercial disputes and the consequences of including an arbitration clause in commercial contracts.
