A delegation of managers from Kozloduy NPP, Bulgargaz and Bulgartransgaz, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and with Energy Minister Alexander Nikolov, is on a working visit to Washington, the government's press service said on Monday.
Meetings are planned at the White House, the State Department, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Energy. Representatives of the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the United States Bank for Export-Import (EXIM) and others will also hold talks, according to the Council of Ministers.
The main topics of discussion will be energy diversification, energy efficiency, modern and green technologies and climate change.
The delegation will also have a meeting with representatives of American business, organized jointly with the US Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, as well as with the American Central European Business Association (ACEBA) and the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI).
