Increasing the specific digital skills of the workforce in 16 economic activities/sub-activities under NACE.BG 2008 aims at the latest project, the implementation of which was launched by BIA, in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria.
The project "Ready for digital transformation in joint actions of the social partners for the development of the specific digital skills of the workforce in enterprises" is funded by the Operational Program "Human Resources Development 2014-2020", its total budget is BGN 2,028,390, and the implementation period is from 1 December 2021 to 30 June 2023.
The project will implement a set of interrelated activities, which include research of digital skills needs in each of the 16 economic activities, development of digital skills profiles for key positions, testing of current digital skills of the workforce through developed tools for assessment of competencies and curricula for non-formal learning for the development of specific digital skills. Among the activities included in the scope of the project is the training of over 500 employees for the development of specific digital skills according to the requirements of the respective profession/position.
The planned results of the project are:
- 16 reports with the results of the research and analysis of the needs for digital skills in the respective 16 sectors;
- tested and validated 80 unified profiles for digital skills by key positions and/or professions;
- Developed two tools for testing current digital skills of the workforce by economic activities, which will test the current digital skills of over 500 employees from 16 economic activities;
- 16 developed recommended programs for non-formal learning for the development of specific digital skills in economic sectors;
- 16 developed learning contents of e-learning for the development of specific digital skills;
- Developed and adopted with sectoral agreements 16 sectoral qualification frameworks for digital skills development;
- Developed 16 Methodological guidelines for maintaining and upgrading the digital skills of workers in the sectors to ensure continuing education;
- Communication campaign to raise awareness of employers and employees about the need to develop digital skills;
- Two models and programs for social partnership in the field of digitalization have been developed and implemented in two economic sectors;
- Trained online over 500 employees in non-formal learning programs for the development of specific digital skills, according to the requirements for the profession/position.
