In cooperation with the Club for Knowledge Management, Innovation and Strategies (KUZIS), the Bulgarian Industrial Association hosted an interactive event "Entertainment for Entrepreneurs", or a skills laboratory in Industry 4.0.

Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 are all around us. They create many opportunities but also challenges. Startups, small and large companies are all faced with them- building business models, finding and retaining talent, and building the necessary skills in teams.

BIA organized an event, which presented several tools to facilitate the building of these necessary skills for open innovation and cooperation management:

  • Skills Maps in Industry 4.0
  • An online tool for building business models in Industry 4.0 for startups and small businesses
  • An online tool for assessing the readiness of medium and large enterprises.

"There are about 404,000 enterprises in Bulgaria, of which 15,000 are large and medium, and all the others are small and micro. Among these 390,000, there are 10,000 companies with double-digit annual growth rates. All of them are part of Economy 4.0, and I am glad that we are all gather today at this forum to talk about them - about the new economy and the economy of the future ", Chairman of BIA Radosvet Radev said at the opening of the conference.

Kristina Eskenazi and Svetlin Penkov from the Artificial Intelligence Bulgaria Cluster showed examples of artificial intelligence in the production and supply of goods and services. Furthermore, they outlined both the successful practices and the reasons for the failures in implementing artificial intelligence.

Guests of the event were Mihail Balabanov - Executive Director of the Center for Human Resources Development, who introduced the participants to the funding opportunities under the new Erasmus + program, and Vladimir Danailov - Executive Director of the Fund, who introduced the participants to the Fund.

The event is part of the Upskilling Lab 4.0 project, funded by the European Union's Erasmus + Program.
