The health and economic crises are quietening, but the sine wave of the political crisis is on the rise. From this point of view, the assessment of the economic situation is simple - as early as the end of March and the end of May most of the measures have been terminated, and as we speak, one of the oldest and most useful measures - "Save me" is also coming to its end, Radosvet Radev from the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) summarized for BNT.

In his words, "the symptoms of economic recovery are already evident."

"Our joint efforts, with the social partners, are concentrated on articulating clearly to the administration that the measures should not be terminated. They can be modified, redesigned, but in no case revoked, because both businesses and employment are still suffering from the crisis" he added.

According to CITUB President Plamen Dimitrov, the economy has been "hit asymmetrically since the beginning of the crisis".

"Some sectors suffered little, and they began to recover. During this quarter, these sectors returned to pre-2020 levels. Some of them are even above 2019 levels in terms of sales, sales, and employment. "Wages continue to rise if they fall elsewhere - some sectors that have been hit, such as tourism, transport, restaurants, manufacturing. They require additional support," he said.

About 300,000 jobs have been preserved thanks to the 60:40 measure, Dimitrov stressed.
