The General Secretary of BIA Dobri Mitrev initiated a two-day online conference on "Responsible Social Dialogue for a Dignified Life (Re-dial)", held within the project under the same name, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.

Re-dial project partners are four key nationally representative social partners: employees 'organizations (CITUB and LO) and employers' associations (BIA and NHO). The project builds on the results of the "Social Dialogue - Exchange of Examples of Good Practices", implemented by LO and NHO from Norway and CITUB and BIA from Bulgaria, related to the ETUC and BUSINESSEUROPE.

The project's main goal is to improve social dialogue and cooperation by strengthening the tripartite dialogue. It is planned to carry out 36 bilateral and 20 trilateral consultations at a national, regional, and local level with the pilot regions Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Stara Zagora, and Veliko Tarnovo. It also implements the training of 500 representatives of the social partners, both men, and women, to increase their capacity to participate in the social dialogue with a higher impact and confidence.

The Norwegian system of tripartite cooperation and the Northern Model was presented at today's opening and social partners in the field of dispute settlement mechanisms by LO and NHO.

Day two of the conference (June 3) is dedicated to the digital transformation of the workplace and capacity building for social dialogue. The partners will present the Norwegian National Strategy for Skills Policy and the development of digital competencies in Norway.
