More than 60,000 people are feeling discouraged that they will find a job. The number of unemployed in our country is growing. Shutdown businesses are on the brink of survival and another lockdown is imminent after only two weeks of work. Could a new Labor Code solve the problems?
"For a measure to be practical, it must be timely. Measures must be clear and cover as many cases as possible, and employers must be supported everywhere in the country," Jasmina Saraivanova from BIA stated on the "Social Network" on Nova TV. She explained that by the extended state aid the business has not changed its critique and requirements toward the government.
"We wanted to adopt a lasting legislative solution for crisis management because all crises have something in common. Had it happened, the state would've been prepared for any crisis from now on," Saraivanova added.
According to her, some companies manage to take advantage of the financial support, and some fail. There has to be a policy covering all regions because the unemployment map reveals the reality.
"BIA is pleading for a new Labor Code because the current one was written 30 years ago, copied from an even older code. The new Labor Code must foresee the absolute participation of social partners, trade unions, as well as representatives of the scientific field. There is no need for vague legislation ", Jasmina Saraivanova is convinced
