Radosvet Radev, Entrepreneur, Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Association, guests on the show "The world is business" by Ivaylo Lakov.

Fourteen years after our accession to the EU, we continue to be the most underdeveloped country, the poorest in terms of GDP per capita, and if we miss the moment, if we do not run the economy at a rapid pace .... we will blow a great historical opportunity. The greatest challenge is not to the business, but the competent management of the state, the proper management of the measures. The National Recovery Plan is a challenge, and also a creative workload. It's the rebuilding of the Bulgarian economy at its core. Radosvet Radev, entrepreneur, Chair of the Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Association, explained on the show "The world is business" hosted by Ivaylo Lakov.

"Entrepreneurs in Bulgaria have a consensus on the main priorities for the modern development of the country. Such are the Eurozone, Schengen, OECD accession. There is a clear notion that we have to fight the gray economy, " the guest remarked.

"Bulgarian business does not want the state to run its operations, but simply to create some modern rules for its development"

"The variables have become too much lately. Before the corona crisis, the variable was the time, and now we are in a schizophrenic coordination system with so many variables which hinder long-term planning," Radev stated.

"The right moment to create the man of the future will be during our crisis recovery "

"The processes that are the milestones of the future economy are already all around us, and, surely, this is the digital economy." The coronavirus catalyzed the evolution of the digital technologies and they literally blew up during the pandemic," Radev expressed.

"The old economy, the restaurants, and resorts won't disappear, on the contrary, people need communication the most right now."

Radev also commented on the National Recovery Plan, saying that it should prepare us for the new economy, but "it is puzzling why some of the proposals are archaic." However, this is not only a Bulgarian problem, the guest added.

Regarding the upcoming national elections, Radev said he expects a "colorful" parliament, predicting that between 7 and 10 parties will enter it.
