BIA's Chairman took part in the official opening of the Mesomania, The World of Milk, Bulpek, Iinterfood & Drink and Wine Salon
“International food fairs are a platform of great importance for business”, Mariana Nikolova, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy and Minister of Tourism claimed during her speech, at the official opening of the exhibitions MEATMANIA, THE WORLD OF MILK, BULPEK, INTERFOOD & DRINK AND WINE SALON E INTERPO CENTER from 4 to 7 November.
The host of the ceremony was Ivaylo Ivanov, Мanager of Inter Expo Center. Among the partakers were Yanko Ivanov - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mariana Kukusheva - Chairman of the Board of the National Branch Union of Bakers and Confectioners (NBSHS), Radosvet Radev - Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), Prof. Plamen Mollov - Rector of the University of Food Technologies (UFT) in Plovdiv, and Boyko Takov - Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.
"It is an honor for us that the exhibitions will be opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria for the first time," Ivaylo Ivanov, Manager of Inter Expo Center, said. He required the guests to adhere to health requirements and noted that the Inter Expo Center has taken all measures to ensure a healthy environment for the safe conduct of international food exhibitions. "I am grateful for your support and for being here, friends," he added.
What is life without bread and nutrious products?
After the greeting on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva, the relevant Deputy Minister Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Ivanov congratulated the organizers for their courage. "Good luck to the participants and the attendees and enjoy the offered products," he wished.
"For another year, despite the fear and the situation of a pandemic, we succeeded. We are still opening the exhibitions today, "said Mariana Kukusheva, Chairman of the Management Board of NBSHS. She expressed that if the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the prescriptions of the World Health Organization are observed, everyone will be able to protect their health. Mariana Kukusheva reminded how important the International Food Exhibitions are for the economic sectors and, after asking the question "What is life without bread and nutrious products?", she invited the attendees to visit the stands of the exhibitors to find out what the companies have managed to create.
Radosvet Radev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), reminded about the difficulties of the organization of exhibitions. He expressed his personal ambition for their realization and noted that in the current situation the Ministry of Economy has taken the right position – the standpoint of the entrepreneur.
The mirror of the food industry
"These exhibitions are like a mirror of our food industry. A mirror that the organizers can be proud of, "said Prof. Plamen Mollov, Rector of the University of Food Technology in Plovdiv. He took the opportunity as an honor and thanked the organizers for their efforts, in order to continue the tradition of MEAT MANIA, THE WORLD OF MILK, BULPEK, INTERFOOD & DRINK AND WINE SALON.
Boyko Takov, Executive Director of BSMEPA expressed confidence in all of the benefits of the participation in the exhibition. After congratulating the organizers for their courage and bravery, he noted that these gathering are very important for the economy, and those present have a great opportunity because the International Food Exhibitions are one of the few in the world currently.
