The Economic and Social Council (ESC) has decided to propose to the Council of Ministers to endorse Radosvet Radev – a member of the ESC of the employers’ group, for a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). Radosvet Radev - Executive President of the Bulgarian Industrial Association, joined the ESC in place of Bojidar Danev, who passed away earlier this year. According to the Law on the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria, proposals for the Bulgarian members of the European Economic and Social Committee are made by the ESC to the Council of Ministers and the Council of Ministers approves the proposed nomination.

The Plenary Session of the Economic and Social Council unanimously adopted the decision and supported the candidacy of Radosvet Radev as a member of the EESC. Before the vote on this decision, the plenary session paid tribute to the memory of one of the founding and most authoritative members for the 15-year history of ESC Bojidar Danev.

The plenary session continued its work and adopted two resolutions on the future of the EU.
