“Thank you for the invitation to welcome the participants in today’s conference. I thank EVIC for being among the active members of the Bulgarian Industrial Association and since their establishment they have been struggling to push forwards innovation, thinking about the future. With all its expertise, BIA supports their initiative to unveil new specialties needed for the modern Bulgarian economy and we will continue because we achieve sustainable success together”, said the Executive President of BIA to the participants in the conference.

The event took place on 26 October 2018 at the Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski” in Sofia, within the European Cyber Security Month 2018. The event was organized by the National branch organization for electric mobility EVIC (member of BIA) in partnership with the Sofia Security Forum and Military Academy “G. S. Rakovski” and with the media support of Darik Radio and “Utilities” magazine.

The conference focused on the future program for Digital Europe, the European 5G connectivity model, and the development of EVIC’s unique educational model for VET and its link to dual learning.

A key participant in the event was Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Maria Gabriel, as well as representatives of local government, business and higher and vocational education.

The conference was held in two panel modules with the possibility for discussions.

The first panel outlined the main challenges of cyber security in the energy sector and the relationship between the energy system and evolving systems of smart mobility.

The second panel was a discussion on “Educational Model Cyber Security in Electrical Mobility”.
