EVIC participated in a workshop organized by the Vocational Education and Training Directorate at the Ministry of Education and Science.

The meeting was led by Minister Krasimir Valchev and Eng. Tanya Mihaylova - Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education and Science, Chavdar Zdravkov - Expert at the Vocational Education and Training Directorate, MES Directorates representatives of technical universities and directors of vocational high schools.

The topic of the meeting was the opportunities for mutual cooperation in the development of a sustainable model for the training of personnel for the needs of electric mobility in Bulgaria and joint development of a model for the introduction of mobile laboratories for the needs of the training in GG.

EVIC was represented by Ivan Kostov - Secretary General, Stefan Apostolov and Associate Professor Ognian Manolov - members of the Management Board of the organization. Assoc. Prof. Manolov presented the working educational model to EVIC, which now includes five vocational high schools, three technical universities, the Center for Professional Training at BIA and others.

Minister Valchev expressed his support for the educational model developed in the EVIC and declared the MES support for its development as part of the dual training system.

The group consists of representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Center for Vocational Education at BIA, directors of vocational schools, representatives of higher education institutions, managers of companies, VIFI Bulgaria and others.

Since September 2017, the specialty "Electrical transport facilities" has been studied in four vocational high schools - Svoge, Gotse Delchev, Varna and Sofia. In 2018 there will be a new reception of students in the vocational schools in  Haskovo and Stara Zagora. Electromobility will be among the WiFi-Bulgaria pilot projects, adding trainings to teachers' credits.

In order to standardize the facilities for practical training, a "Mobile Labs" model will be used to benefit from vocational high schools, vocational training centers and other model participants.
