The project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Bourgas "ENHANCING THE RESPECT FOR GENDER EQUALITY IN BULGARIA-TURKEY CROSS-BORDER AREA " is one of the finalists for the RegioStars awards for 2017, the yearly competition honouring Europe's most inspiring and innovative regional projects supported by the EU Cohesion Policy Funds.
The project is implemented with the financial support of BULGARIA-TURKEY IPA CROSS-BORDER PROGRAMME (CCI No: 2007CB16IPO008) by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Bourgas in the capacity of a lead partner, in partnership with the Kirklareli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkey. As part of the implementation of the project (2013-2014), the labor market situation and the role of women in the two cross-border regions have been analyzed and conditions have been created to stimulate entrepreneurship among women, and to promote the principle of equality between genders.
The project of Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Bourgas is nominated in category 3: " Women Empowerment and Active Participation". The awards ceremony will take place in Brussels on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 during the European Week of Regions and Cities.
