The Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of the Bulgarian Business (BIA) is a partner of study for Bulgaria.

The Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg i. Br., Germany, working on a project dedicated to the fight against industrial espionage in European companies. The Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of the Bulgarian Business (BIA) is a partner of study for Bulgaria.

In 2016, Bulgaria was selected along with four other countries - Britain, Denmark, Switzerland and Austria to participate in the second stage of a comparative study that includes interviews with real business issues of security and the fight against economic espionage.

Representative of the Ministry of Education of Germany - Dr. Bernd Beckert, will arrive in Bulgaria from May 9 to 12 and will conduct interviews with four companies or organizations.

According to preliminary information, the questions are:

1. What services are being offered by the Bulgarian government to support enterprises in preventing industrial espionage? (information, monitoring activities, jurisdiction, etc.)

2. How does the Bulgarian state support enterprises in dealing with industrial espionage?

3. What is the official procedure to follow when an enterprise in Bulgaria finds out that it has been attacked?

4. What additional measures do experts and enterprises suggest to improve the national system of fighting against industrial espionage?
