The BULSTAT Register will be made fully electronic as of January 1, 2016, according to amendments to the BULSTAT Act adopted by the Bulgarian government on Wednesday.
The trade register will include an electronic file of each legal person subject to registration.
Thanks to the electronization of the BULSTAT Register, applications for entry in the register will be received 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will be reviewed within the period of 1 day, as defined by law, according to the press office of the Justice Ministry.
The measure is aimed at reducing the administrative burden on natural and legal persons.
The BULSTAT Register will become a unified, centralized, publicly accessible, and free database containing all circumstances subject to registration for all registered subjects.
Under the new rules, district courts will be obliged to submit electronically to the registry office within one business day judgments on the establishment and termination of legal persons which are not traders, as well as changed circumstances pertaining to them.
The legal changes will enable all Bulgarian citizens to consult the electronic BULSTAT Register free of charge.
