The European Commission informed Bulgaria that payments under the Regional Development Operational Programme for the 2007-2013 programme period can now be resumed. They were temporarily suspended in order to have control systems made more efficient. The EC will proceed with the initial payment straight away. The sum is of over EUR 52 million, coming from the European Fund for Regional Development. The EUR 92 million requested in February will have to be paid in March.
