Investors from the German company "P & S Project", which has a rehabilitation plan for the Burgas Shipyards, met with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Daniel Bobeva. The aim of the meeting was to discuss ways to save the plant and the state's role in this process, Standart daily reports.

BSP MP Atanas Zaphirov and Bourgas Regional Governor Pavel Marinov were also present in the negotiations, according to the information of burgas-reporter.com.

"Not a single person from Burgas would want the shipyards to disappear, regardless of political orientation" Radoslav Valtchev, the representative of the German company in Bulgaria said. In his words, Daniela Bobeva is committed to a second detailed plan about saving the shipyards. The district governor and the mayor ensured that they will not block a new plan.

Now it has to be established to which banks and exactly how much the shipyards would have to pay. The obligations to the state amount to about BGN 3 million. The exact financial situation of Burgas Shipyards is not clear, since the plant has not reported financial results since 2011 and the accounting for 2012 and 2013 is missing.
