In connections with the proposals of the Bulgarian Industrial Association to improve the economic situation and the regulation of the business, Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski convene a working group to discuss all possible measures to improve the environment for doing business. In the first meeting of the working group of the BIA attended by the deputy chairman of the Chamber Kamen Kolev and Silvia Todorova – Director “Industrial Development”.

In the first meeting of the working group BIA set problem with timetable for the introduction of POS – terminals in the state municipal authorities, as part of implementation of the State’s obligation to provide non-cash forms of payment. Kamen Kolev put the issue of ensuring rapid settlement of the country to the business and recovery of VAT due, and the transparency of the tax schedule inspections so as not to put pressure on individual companies. According to the BIA it is important to work to reduce the price of the public services and the introduction of electronic services to facilitate business.

BIA continues to collect suggestions from its branch and regional structures to changes in tax legislation and practice in order to improve the business environment.
