EnduroSat and Arianespace join forces for a new generation of European space missions
The Bulgarian high-tech company EnduroSat and the French Arianespace have marked a new beginning of a strategic partnership between Bulgaria and one of the leading European companies in the space sector. On September 9, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two companies at the Elysee Palace in Paris in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron and Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
The agreement was signed within the framework of the International Space Summit in Paris - a forum dedicated to the future of the European space industry and the need for Europe to strengthen its technological and strategic autonomy.
The essence of the partnership is in combining two complementary capabilities: EnduroSat – with its expertise in the design, production and operation of satellites, and Arianespace – with access to the European Ariane 6 launch vehicles. According to the signed memorandum, the Bulgarian company plans to use Arianespace 's services for launching satellites, including for deploying satellite fleets for its customers, from 2029 .
The partnership is important not only for the two companies. It is part of a broader trend towards building a competitive European space ecosystem, in which technology companies from different countries pool capacity across the entire chain – from the design and production of satellites to their launch and management in orbit.
It is this model that is particularly important for Bulgaria. The success of EnduroSat shows that Bulgarian companies can be not only suppliers in European technology chains, but also creators of high-tech products and services with a global market.
The company, which operates in Sofia and has an international presence, opened an office in Toulouse in 2025 – another sign of its deepening ties. with the European cosmic sector .
Arianespace defines the partnership as a step towards building a long-term European chain for the creation and launch of satellites into space. The main objectives include supporting European institutional missions, more reliable and independent access to space, and developing a competitive European space industry .
"Our common goal is a competitive space ecosystem and strategic autonomy" - a message that well describes the meaning of the signed memorandum.
For Bulgaria, this is also proof of the potential of the high-tech sector to become a natural part of European industrial chains with high added value.
