The Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Industrial Development, in partnership with EU SME Centre and China IP SME Helpdesk, is organizing a free webinar titled “Get to Know China: Challenges and Opportunities for Bulgarian SMEs in the Chinese Market.” The event is aimed at Bulgarian small and medium-sized enterprises interested in exploring opportunities for development and expansion in the Chinese market.
The webinar will take place on 25 March 2026, from 10:00 to 11:45 EET, and will be held in English.
The Chinese market offers significant opportunities for growth and expansion for Bulgarian SMEs, but it is also characterized by a specific regulatory environment, challenges related to the protection of intellectual property, and strong local competition. The webinar aims to provide practical information and guidance for companies considering entering or expanding their presence in China.
During the event, the following topics will be covered:
-
the structure and key characteristics of the Chinese market
-
the main market entry channels – from e-commerce platforms to physical retail
-
the advantages and limitations of different sales channels
-
the importance of timely protection of intellectual property rights when entering the Chinese market
The key speaker will be Xuemin Lu, an intellectual property expert and IP lawyer at Thomsen Trampedach (Questel). He has extensive experience in the fields of trademarks, patents, and copyright, as well as in protecting the rights of international companies in China and the Asia-Pacific region. Part of his practice also involves working with companies in the cosmetics sector.
