The Executive President of the BIA Mr. Bojidar Danev will participate in a Tripartite Social Summit on the 8th of March 2017 in Brussels.

The summit will be opened by the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat. The Bulgarian delegation includes Mr. Danev, the Minister of labour and social policy Galab Donev and the President of CITUB Plamen Dimitrov.

Mr. Danev will give a presentation on “New forms of work and the future of industry”.

The agenda includes speeches of the ministers of labor of Bulgaria, Malta and Estonia, the executives of the biggest European business organizations – BUSINESSEUROPE, CEEP and UEAPME.

The main focus of the summit will be “The future of Europe: charting the course towards growth, employment and fairness”. The three key themes of the discussion will be:

  1. Making work pay as a way to promote employment and social inclusion
  2. New forms of work and the future of industry
  3. The European Pillar of Social Rights and the role of the social partners
