Each measure has to be coordinated with the social partners since they are best acquainted with the actual problems of the business, Jasmina Saraivanova, Social Dialogue Expert from BIA explained for “Business Start” on Bloomberg TV

"We see that the situation is changing rapidly and that no one knows how long the health crisis will last. The more people included, the better, but the measures must be implemented in the same way everywhere."

"It is important to work on a new Labor Code too, which is written and agreed upon not only with the active participation of the social partners but also with established names - specialists in labor law - from the academic community," Jasmina Sariivanova plead.

According to the guest, the most important thing is to have a clear and specific labor code, which is not complicated.

Jasmina pointed out that the effectiveness of the implemented policies and measures is important for both employees and employers.

"Several options were introduced during this period - some of them worked better, others - not so much. The measures that are preserved so far: the "Save me" project, 60/40, and 80/20. There are two types of measures: one related to retaining the employment and the other to support the business."

Jasmina Saravanova added that parents will have the opportunity to take advantage of the help, which is 650 leva per child currently studying online. For two or more children parents can receive financial support worth BGN 975. Working parents on unpaid leave can also receive support through the "Social Assistance Agency".
