The company is a finalist for the Balkan Business Awards 2022
The largest Bulgarian producer of aluminum roller and press products - Alcomet AD, which has an enviable history of over 40 years, is a finalist for the prestigious Balkan Business Awards 2022, according to the organizers of the Public Communications Agency VIP Communication.
The golden statuettes will be presented on March 25, 2022.
The industrial giant is built on an area of 370,000 square meters in Shumen, where the entire production cycle takes place - from casting of blanks and rolls to cold rolling, pressing and machining of profiles. The company offers a wide range of aluminum semi-finished products - household, coated, technical and packaging film, finstock, aluminum sheets and strips, standard and profiles according to the customer's drawing.
Over the past 20 years, Alcomet has invested more than 155m euros in modernizing equipment and sustainable production processes, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and improving recycling rates. The largest investment program to date ended in 2020, thanks to which the company increased its production capacity in the two main shops. A 25 MN HybrEx® press was introduced in the press shop, and a new generation of 6-high-cold-rolling mill rolled mill was launched in the rolling mill.
Alcomet has a strong presence in the European and American markets, serving sectors such as construction and architecture, automotive, transportation, packaging, distribution, renewable energy and other sectors.
