The Bulgarian “Responsible Choice” programme, aimed at responsible consumption and production, has won one of the five prestigious international awards of the United Nations Global Compact. The awards was given during the Annual meeting of the UN Global Comapct held in India entitled “Making Global Goals Local Businesses”. The awarded project is an idea of and has been realized by the UNGC Network Bulgaria.
“Responsible Choice” has been created by UNGC Network Bulgaria’s member companies in 2015. It was the leader in the “Sustainable Development Goals - Platform for Partnerships and Collective Action” category and won by the votes of all local networks. The Bulgarian programme won over the competition among over 75 projects and initiatives from all over the world as some countries participated with more than one project. The winners in the other categories are France, Greece, Vietnam and Kenya.
